Assistant Professor of Finance

Applications are invited for a tenure-track faculty position in Finance at the Assistant Professor rank with a proposed commencement date of July 1, 2017. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position is subject to budgetary approval.
The Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) has a history of excellence in financial education and boasts a very impressive cadre of alumni who have attained positions of leadership in public and private sector finance in Canada and worldwide. An outstanding academic program, supporting facilities, and excellent faculty have been the foundation for this success.
The successful applicant will teach undergraduate and graduate courses and conduct research in the areas of investments, portfolio management, and derivatives. Preference will be given to applicants with trading room and/or online financial database experience. Applicants should have a PhD with a demonstrated commitment to teaching and research in a university environment. Applicants must have demonstrated research productivity commensurate with the rank of appointment. Evidence of a completed earned doctorate is required for the appointee to receive the rank of Assistant Professor or higher and to be in a tenure-track position. (If a successful candidate has not completed an earned doctorate, he/she shall be appointed to a regular term, non-renewable three-year appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. If the candidate completes all the requirements for the doctorate during the first 24 months of the term appointment, he/she shall begin a tenure-track appointment following completion of the requirements of the degree).
The Faculty of Business Administration is a leader in management education and is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
