Canada Research Chair (Tier 2) – Digital Disruption and Organizational Transformation, Athabasca University

The Faculty of Business is seeking an emerging world-class researcher with demonstrated potential for leadership and international recognition in the study of digital disruption and organizational transformation for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to be nominated for a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair (CRC). Applicants should have a PhD, or equivalent, in a related field with postdoctoral experience and/or prior faculty-level experience. The successful candidate will have an innovative and original program of research, proven leadership and collaborative research team building skills as well as capacity to receive external funding.

Digital technology has disrupted organizations in all sectors and has altered individual behaviour, business processes, industry structures, stakeholder relations as well as basic beliefs about what it means to do business. This upheaval has implications across all areas of management. As such, scholars from all academic areas of business management are invited to apply.

The CRC program seeks to attract outstanding researchers to careers at Canadian universities. Tier 2 Chairs are intended for exceptional emerging scholars (i.e. within 10 years of attaining their highest degree, with consideration for career breaks) who have the acknowledged potential to lead in their field of research. Appointment to a Tier 2 Chair is for five years and is renewable once.
