The Shannon School of Business at CBU invites applications for a tenure-track position in Supply Chain Management at the rank of Assistant Professor to commence April 2019 (or shortly thereafter).

La Faculté de gestion Desautels de l’Université McGill cherche à pourvoir un poste d’enseignant contractuel en vue d’un engagement de deux ans au sein de l’unité Gestion des opérations avec spécialisation en analyse de données. Les candidats doivent posséder une maîtrise (de préférence une maîtrise en statistique ou en recherche opérationnelle) et au moins 3 années d’expérience professionnelle. Le candidat doit posséder une vaste expérience dans l’exécution de fonctions d’analyse et d’analyse de données, de modélisation avancée et d’analyse prédictive. De plus, une expérience de travail dans les outils Python, R, SQL, Big Data et AI / ML serait considérée comme un atout. De préférence, le candidat doit avoir des expériences d’enseignement dans des domaines proches de l’analyse de données et démontrer d’excellentes performances pédagogiques. Le titulaire de ce poste d’enseignant contractuel assumera une responsabilité principale. En tant que chargé de cours, il sera responsable de l’élaboration et de la mise en œuvre de divers cours expérientiels faisant partie intégrante du MMA (Master en gestion de l’analyse) et du MMR (Master en gestion du commerce de détail), ce qui nécessitera également la détermination et l’acquisition de l’infrastructure logicielle de pointe pour donner le cours. Le candidat retenu peut également être invité à contribuer à la réalisation des concentrations d’analyse commerciale lancées par la Faculté au niveau du premier cycle et des cycles supérieurs.

La Faculté de gestion Desautels compte au-delà de 76 professeurs à temps plein et propose des formations menant à des diplômes de B. Com., de MBA et de doctorat. La Faculté propose une concentration en analytique d’affaires tant au premier cycle qu’au niveau du MBA. L’unité Gestion des opérations offre également la Maîtrise en gestion mondiale de la fabrication et de la chaîne d’approvisionnement, programme mené en collaboration avec l’Université du Zhejiang, située en Chine, et d’importants acteurs du secteur privé. L’ouverture de l’École Bensadoun de gestion du commerce au détail compte au nombre des projets d’envergure de la Faculté de gestion Desautels. Contract Faculty Position, Operations Management, Desautels Faculty of Management – McGill University

Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University invites applications for a two-year Contractual Academic Staff (CAS) appointment in Operations Management (OM) with the specialization in data analytics. Candidates must have earned a Master’s degree (MS in Statistics or Operations Research is preferable) with at least 3 years of work experience. The applicant must have extensive experience performing data and data analytics functions, advanced modelling and predictive analytics. In addition, work experience in Python, R, SQL and Big Data and AI/ML tools would be considered an asset. Preferably the candidate should have teaching experiences in the subjects close to data analytics and can demonstrate excellent teaching performances. The successful candidate will also be expected to make substantive contributions through service to the Faculty, the University, and/or the broader community through extra-curricular activities delivered throughout the year. The start date for the appointment will be July 1, 2019. 


This CAS appointment will assume one main responsibility. As a Faculty Lecturer, the individual will take the lead in developing and delivering various experiential courses integral in the MMA (Master of Management in Analytics) and MMR (Master of Management in Retailing), which will also require the determination and procurement of the state of the art software infrastructure to run the course. The successful candidate may also be asked to contribute to the delivery of the business analytics concentrations the Faculty has launched at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Desautels Faculty of Management has more than 76 full-time professors and offers B.Com., MBA, and Ph.D. degrees. The Faculty offers business analytics concentrations both at the undergraduate and MBA levels. The OM Area is also engaged in the Master in Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management (GMSCM) program and the launch of the Master of Management Analytics (MMA) Program. The former is a joint program with Zhejiang University in China and significant industry involvement, whereas the latter is a multidisciplinary pre-experience Master’s degree featuring experiential learning in the field of business analytics. The recent focus on launching the Bensadoun School of Retail Management within Desautels Faculty of Management is a significant initiative. The new retail school will offer academic programs from the undergraduate to the PhD levels with input from global retailers, conduct research on the fast-changing sector, and feature a retail innovation lab to test out new ideas, technologies and products within an academic setting. The members of the area are also affiliated with CIRRELT or GERAD, which are among the most established research centers in North America.

Tenure-track Position, Health Management, Management Faculty-University of British Columbia

The Faculty of Management invites outstanding individuals to apply for a tenure-track or tenured position at an Assistant or Associate Professor rank in health management. Topics of interest to the faculty relevant to healthcare management may include but are not limited to: organization theory, technology and work, operations management, not-for-profit strategy, health economic evaluation and outcomes research, acute or chronic care delivery, health policy development and transformation of healthcare delivery, patient care management, and health outcome measurement (e.g. quality of life). 

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in a discipline relevant to this position (e.g. management, health economics, health service delivery, healthcare management). They must have a strong record demonstrating an ability to conduct outstanding research, to engage relevant stakeholders in their research, and to attract external research funding. They must also demonstrate ability to teach topics generally relevant to the management subject area, and specifically relevant to health care management, at both the undergraduate and the graduate level. 

The successful candidate will be expected to establish new relationships with key stakeholders in the community related to health, health care and health service delivery. Full-time Instructor Position, Human Resources & Labour Relations, Dhillon School of Business-University of Lethbridge

THE UNIVERSITY OF LETHBRIDGE is seeking applications for one continuing appointment at the rank of Instructor III on our Lethbridge Campus beginning July 2019. Candidates must possess a minimum of a master’s degree in human resources management, labour relations, organizational behavior or a related discipline.  The applicant must also have a demonstrated ability to provide innovative and effective teaching. Industry experience is an asset, but not required. The successful candidate will be required to teach classes such as compensation and benefits, training and development, staffing, labour relations and managerial skills development.
