The School of Business of the University of Northern British Columbia invites applications for a full-time term appointment at the rank of Lecturer in the area of Accounting. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2018. The School of Business is the largest academic program in the University. It offers three degrees – A Bachelor of Commerce with majors in Accounting, Finance, General Business, Human Resources, International Business, and Marketing; a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Business Administration.

Candidates should possess a BComm or BBA, Canadian CPA, and recent teaching experience at the university and/or professional level. DUTIES:

The School of Business and Economics (SOBE) at Thompson Rivers University invites applicants for a tenure track position, open-rank, Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, in the Department of Accounting and Finance. SOBE is a dynamic part of TRU with a rapidly expanding international student body. It offers a wide array of undergraduate certificate, diploma, and degree programs in business and economics. As well, it offers a graduate diploma, MBA, Master of Environmental Economics and Management (MEEM) and Master of Science in Environmental Economics and Management (MScEEM). These programs are taught to domestic and international students using both on-campus and distance delivery methods. As part of its programs, SoBE offers active student learning as well as the globalization of the business environment.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in financial and managerial accounting and maintain an active research agenda. Faculty are also expected to make service contributions to their profession, department, school, institution or community by participating on various committees and contributing to other initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PhD or DBA in accounting at the time of commencement of the appointment. Applicants near completion of PhD or DBA may be considered.
  • PhD or DBA in a relevant field will be considered if accompanied by a proven record of research in accounting.

Tenure-Track, Accounting, Lakehead University

The Faculty of Business Administration at Lakehead University, Thunder Bay campus invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in Accounting. The appointment will commence on August 1, 2017 at a rank commensurate with experience and qualifications.
